ABOUT US
We are located in Fallbrook, CA, USA, it is nicknamed "The Friendly Village" & some know it as the avocado capital of the world. We live on a small horse property, and we love our Australian Cattle Dogs (ACDs). Our dogs are a integrated part of our daily activities. Whether we are riding horses, going to the beach, hiking at the river, going to a dog sport event or being lazy on the couch, our dogs are right there with us. We are legitimately cattle dog crazy!
I am Jen Vanasse, founder of Tin Roof ACDs, and I have been an Australian Cattle Dog owner since 1989. I have not wavered since. My husband, and Co-Founder, Andy Vanasse, is officially chosen & owned by several ACDs as well. Together we are passionate about everything that goes into producing healthy & happy ACD puppies, training and competing with our dogs, or hanging at home with the amazing Australian Catt;e Dog. There is something very special about owning an Australian Cattle Dog that is difficult to explain. If you have owned one, than you know what I am talking about. If you have not owned one; I would say it is a combination of their loyalty, their strong personality, and their selfless devotion to making us happy that makes me fall in love with the breed. They are so funny, and each one has a unique personality. I could go on and on, for the sake of saving space, this is the best I can do for now. You will just have to own one to have the opportunity to feel the experience.
Please do your homework! I have tried to provide a lot of information for you on this website. Check out the informative links, and pages to read all about Australian Cattle Dogs. This is of utmost importance, other than your investment of training that you put into your puppy. If you are not familiar with the breed, this is even more important for your future happiness with your puppy. ACDs are not for the first time dog owner. They are not an "easy" breed. These are dogs bred for several decades, to perform a specific job. Are you ready for an ACD to own you? That is what will happen. These dogs will own your heart. It is something every dedicated dog owner should get to experience! Please feel free to contact us today if you have any questions. We would love to talk dogs with you.
