How many puppies?

Willow had her x-ray appointment to get an idea of how many puppies to expect. How many can you find? (Hint: look for the skulls)

We are so excited to welcome the puppies from this first time pairing of "Cutter" & "Willow"! Anticipated to be exceptional pups, their sire and dam have several complementary attributes that should shine through in these babies. Stay tuned...
We have several reservations for this litter, and most likely there will be no available puppies. However, things can change, and you just never know what may become available.
If you are interested in more details of our exquisite puppy program, and the Australian Cattle Dog breed please visit our website. We have provided a wide array of information for people to get lost in. We also have several photos and videos from past litters, and other activities with the dogs. Barn Hunt, Scentwork, Conformation shows, trail rides, playtime at the river, or whatever other fun activities we may do.
X-Ray: The vet sees 8 puppies in the radiograph (x-ray)
There could be more? It is always difficult to get a precise count when there are several puppies bunched up. The reason we go to the veterinarian for an x-ray is so that we have a good idea of how many puppies to expect, to know if there is only one puppy, and to see if there are any concerns.
Feel free to email us with any questions about the ACD. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you research the breed you are interested in adding to your family. ACDs are not an easy breed, but if you understand them, they are very manageable. I would not recommend a blue heeler for a first time puppy owner. These dogs are bred to argue with bulls for a living... 🤯😆 You can probably imagine a few difficulties one may have when training an ACD puppy. We are happy to chat about the breed with you to help you determine if it will be a good fit in your life.
Thank you for your love and appreciation of the Australian Cattle Dog.
Sincerely,
Jen & Andy Vanasse
